Shrublands
Site Information and Charges


General Location & Surrounds


Shrublands CL is located to the rear of the Shrublands of Wighton B&B on the edge of Wighton village, just 3 miles from the quay at Wells-Next-The-Sea.
The land around Shrublands is screened from the site by trees and shrubs and is predominantly private farmland. The west of the site and the access track are bounded by private gardens. For reasons of safety and privacy these areas are 'out of bounds' to CL residents. There are however, a number of country walks and cycle routes immediately accessible from the site. The local hourly bus service to either Wells or Fakenham stops directly outside the house.

Site Facilities

Fresh Water - The tap on the wall of the barn outbuilding is for drawing potable water only. For hygiene reasons this must not be used for any other purpose. 

Toilet and Shower Block - Comprises 2 rooms: 1 with flush toilet with hot & cold wash basin and the second - a wet room with shower and wash basin.

Emptying Points - Waste Water and Chemical Toilet points (with wash hose) are located next to the toilet. In summer we are happy for washing water to be poured around the trees & bushes on the site.


Refuse Disposal - A bin is provided by the services area for domestic / kitchen type waste only. Members are asked to bag all rubbish before placing it in the bin (carrier bags are fine). Glass should be carefully placed in the crates provided. Other items can be disposed of at the waste recycle centre on the way to Wells.


Arrivals and Departures: To allow us to service pitches between bookings, pitches are available from 12pm on the day of arrival and should be vacated by 11am on the day of departure (we will be flexible when availability permits).


Site fees A deposit equal to 1 days charge per van per week booked is required for all bookings. Remaining charges for the full period booked are to be settled on arrival.

Please Note: The site will be closed during January and February 2010.

Although the toilet will be available from 1st March (weather permitting) the shower will be unavailable until 1st April 10.

Caravans / Motorhomes: £13.50: (incl up to 4 persons, power hook-up, awning or gazebo, use of toilet & shower / hot water etc).

Additional Persons: £0.50p per person.

Pup Tent: £1.50p

Extra Car: / Boat Trailer: £0.50p
