Shrublands
is well positioned
- located in the picturesque village of Wighton approximately 2
1/2 miles inland between the North Norfolk coastal town of Wells-next-the-Sea
and Little Walsingham. Ample off-road parking is provided at both
the front and rear of the property. . Lock-up facilities for cycles
is also available. An hourly bus service,that runs between Wells-Next-The-Sea
and Fakenham, conviniently passes through Wighton, stopping a few
yards from Shrublands..
Shrublands
has 2
double rooms and one twin bedded room, all with en-suite shower,
toilet & basin. The rooms are located on the first floor and
are tastefully decorated, centrally heated and equipped with, TV,
WiFi, beverage making facilities, & hair dryers. Bed & Breakfast
can also be booked in our lovely 2 bedroom static caravan situated
in part of our garden called 'Gruff's Orchard' (this facility has
its own separate page - please click on the green tab on the left
labeled 'B & B in Gruff's Orchard' for more information).
Breakfast is
served in our lovely garden room, with access to a pretty courtyard
garden. Guests are welcome to use the lounge area in this bright
and airy room or the private courtyard garden to relax in.
The local area is designated as "an area of outstanding natural
beauty" and offers many places of interest that will satisfy all
interests and tastes. Activities include: bird watching, walking,
cycling, boating, horse riding, visiting stately homes, private
collections and wildlife parks. Or, just relax on the many spacious
sand dunes and beaches.
There are fine views of the countryside from both our front facing
bedroom and the guest garden room where Barn Owls, Buzzards and
Marsh Harriers are often spotted. Guests staying in the bedrooms
overlooking the rear garden, can enjoy visits from a wide variety
of birds to the feeders in the trees, including longtailed, blue,
great & coal tits, thrushes, goldcrests, green & chaffinches,
tree creeper plus many more including our hand fed blackbirds and
some cheeky pheasants who like the easy pickings.
